Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR: Team List

With the completion of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Middle East RMR Closed Qualifier, which saw DRILLAS become the eighth and final team to make it to the Asia RMR, the team list for the Asia RMR has been confirmed and we have confirmation of those heading to Shanghai.

The Asia RMR will be a LAN taking place in Shanghai between November 11 and November 14, 2024. The 8 teams will fight it out in a double elimination bracket with the top 3 teams moving to the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

TALONS - OCE RMR Closed Qualifier

With The MongolZ, Lynn Vision and FlyQuest already locking in their RMR spots thanks to their Valve rankings, TALONS were the first team from the Asia qualifiers to move into the Asia RMR, from the OCE Closed Qualifier. TALONs ran through Housebets and Mindfreak in the upper bracket before dropping to the lower bracket after getting smashed by Rooster in the upper bracket final. A clean 2-0 in the consolidation final against Mindfreak saw them set up a rematch against Rooster and it was a 2-1 in the Grand Final to see themselves lock in a RMR spot.

Rare Atom - China RMR Closed Qualifier

Rare Atom stunned favourites TYLOO in the China RMR Closed Qualifier, to make it to their home Major RMR. TYLOO looked unbeatable throughout the event and even demolised Rare Atom in the upper bracket final but in the BO3 grand final, Rare Atom reverse swept TYLOO to make it to the Asia RMR.

Alter Ego - Rest of Asia RMR Closed Qualifier

One of Asian Counter-Strike's most recognisable names, BnTeT and his team, Alter Ego took part in the Rest of Asia RMR Closed Qualifier, which also had two Indian teams in the mix. Gods Reign and True Rippers represented India and Gods Reign, even with a stand-in fought valiantly to make it to the Grand Final but Alter Ego were just too strong as they locked in the Asia RMR berth.

The East Asia RMR Closed Qualifier had teams from Mongolian and Far East Russian battle it out and it was a flawless upper bracket run from GR as they took down ATOX in the Grand Final to book their tickets to Shanghai.

The final team to make it to the Asia RMR came from the Middle East RMR Closed Qualifier as it was ohnePixel's DRILLAS taking down former Gods Reign's coach PokemoN and co.'s Onyx Ravens, to complete an incredible lower bracket run after losing their opening game to JiJieHao.
