Starting on the T-side of Vertigo, Rooster got off to a 8-1 lead with TjP and asap fragging out. Rooster locked in an 8-4 half and even won the pistol and converted the anti-eco to begin the second half. Buying up in the third round of the half, TALON mounted a valiant comeback from 4-10, to close out Vertigo 13-11.
Going into the second map, TALON picked up where they left off as the team once again strung up a massive half after conceding the pistol and anti-eco. Securing an 8-4 CT-half, TALON were well on their way to close out the map and series but Rooster had something different in store.
TjP stepped up with a 2.43 rating CT-side performance as Rooster stacked eight rounds in a row to land on match point right out the gate. TALON clawed back a couple of rounds but Rooster held on and took Mirage 13-10, pushing the series into the decider.
In the decider, Anubis, TALON started on the CT-side of Anubis. The team came out all guns blazing, with AZR leading from the front. A 1.73 rating, 109 ADR CT-side from AZR, let TALON lock down a solid 9-3 first half. Rooster were on the verge of closing the gap with a 4-rounds streak to start the second half, but TALON stood strong and took Mirage 13-7.
Wrapping up the series 2-1, TALON have eliminated Rooster from RMR contention and have booked their Asia-Pacific RMR slot to shoot their shot at a Major appearance at Perfect World Shanghai 2024. The Aussies wait alongside The MongolZ, FlyQuest and Lynn Vision who had secured direct invites based on Valve Regional Standings.
