Esportz Premier Series 2023 prize money yet to be dispersed

The event ended in January 2024

Update: Dust2 India tried reaching out to an Esportz.in representative to verify these claims but was unable to make contact.

Yet another organizer has come into scrutiny of late and has been accused of not paying out the prescribed prize money. Esports Premier Series, advertised as "The year long eSports tournament" was one of the first Indian Counter-Strike 2 LAN events in 2024.

The grand-final saw Marcos Gaming take on Enigma Gaming in a LAN event in Mumbai where the latter emerged victorious in January 2024. The event carried a prize pool of ₹4,00,000 INR and for their win, Enigma Gaming were entitled to a ₹2,50,000 INR cash prize. The organizer had also mentioned that the runner-up would walk away with a cash prize of ₹1,25,000 INR. Dust2 India has learnt from both the teams that almost 10 months later, neither of the teams have received their prize money yet.

Well, what can I say? It's just so disappointing when things like this happen

When contacted, the players of Enigma Gaming and Marcos Gaming shared that their point of contact at Esportz.in's had gone radio silent with no updates on the payment delay. Marcos Gaming at the time had the current Gods Reign core of Bhavi, R2B2 and reV3nnnn playing for them along with Ember and ELV1S.
