FlyQuest to take on Wildcard in Atlanta semi-final

Following the completion of Day 2 at the ongoing ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024, Australian team FlyQuest's semi-final opponents have been confirmed after Wildcard sent M80 packing.

The Australian team started the tournament with a big 13-3 win over nafany's BetBoom in the opening BO1 on Dust2 before ending the day by taking down the big scalp of SAW. A strong team performance with their captain dexter leading from the front saw FlyQuest beat the Portuguese team 13-9 on Inferno to book their spot in the semi-finals.

dexter and co. will face stanislaw's Wildcard who started their tournament with a 8-13 loss to M80 on Ancient. In the Lower Bracket, Wildcard fought back to knock Brazil's ODDIK out in a BO3 encounter which they won comprehensively (13 -5 on Nuke and 13-10 on Ancient). The win against the Brazilians set up a rematch against M80 in the Group B decider game and even though M80 stole Wildcard's pick of Dust2 to start the series, Swedish star susp led Wildcard's comeback as they reverse swept Wildcard out of the tournament to make it to the Playoffs.

FlyQuest will now face Wildcard in the BO3 semi-final with the Australians yet to play a BO3 game in Atlanta. The semi-final takes place later on tonight at 19:30 IST with the Grand Final scheduled for 02:00 IST on October 7, 2024.

The winner of ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 will not only win a prize money of $50,000 but also lock in a spot at the ESL Pro League Season 21. The other semi-final has BIG taking on SAW, who like Wildcard, fought back to make the playoffs after a loss in the opening game.
