FlyQuest books Grand Final spot in Atlanta
After a clean run through the Group Stage, FlyQuest went up against Wildcard in the semi-final at the ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 with the Australian team looking to go all the way to not only win the event but lock in an ESL Pro League Season 21 spot.
The Aussies kicked off the semi-final in style, going on an eight-round streak to start Wildcard's pick of Nuke on their CT-side before a B hit saw Wildcard finally get on the board. Wildcard could manage just one more round as FlyQuest started with a big 10 round CT side. Wildcard started with a much-needed pistol on their CT side and a stanislaw 1v2 helped them push the map to all rounds of regulation but fell in the final round as FlyQuest stole away a 13-11 win.
Wildcard fought back on FlyQuest's pick of Dust2 which started with a tied opening half but a stellar T side led by fr3nd saw Wildcard lock in a 13-9 win to keep the series alive. On the decider on Anubis, it was a blowout as FlyQuest stomped Wildcard 13-3 with their captain dexter leading from the front, which saw FlyQuest book their place in the Grand Final.
FlyQuest now await the winner of the SAW vs BIG semi-final to determine their opponents in the final and are one BO3 win away from booking their spot in ESL Pro League S21.
