YaLLa Compass to retain old format for 2025

Having previously announced an expansion in YaLLa Compas Fall and Spring 2025 from 12 teams, YaLLa have reversed their decision and these two events will revert to accommodating 12 teams. In their blogpost, YaLLa says that this would lead to a "Higher investment per team" which in turn contributes towards a more "Athlete-centric" experience for all players involved.

The previously announced quota of eight invites for the main event still holds as two closed qualifier slots are cut down. The main event will feature 12 teams in two groups of 6. A round-robin format determines the top three teams from each group that advances to the playoffs. A single-elimination bo3 playoffs followed by a bo5 grand-final crowns the winner.

From the $750,000 USD prize pool, a total of $150,000 USD is reserved for qualifier prize pools which are as follows:

• Closed Qualifier: $75,000 USD

• Open Qualifier #1: $25,000 USD

• Open Qualifier #2: $25,000 USD

• Open Qualifier #3: $25,000 USD

YaLLa have also unveiled the dates for three YaLLa Compass events in 2026. The first YaLLa Compass event in 2026 will take place in April and will run from 20th to 26th in Qatar. UAE will host the final YaLLa Compass event of 2026 in November and their second event's location in September 2026 is yet to be revealed.
