jL bags the 5th spot in Top 20 Players of 2024

The first CS2 Major MVP and NAVI's star rifler jL has marked his first appearance in the HLTV's Top 20 Players of 24 by securing the fifth position in the rankings. Throughout 2024, the Lithuanian amounted to a 1.13 rating, with a 1.16 impact rating.

jL came hot off the presses in the year in a spectacular way with a 1.20 rating at the Closed Qualifiers of the first Major with a 1.20 rating. While his performance at IEM Katowice 2024 and BLAST Spring Groups 2024 was subpar, jL ensured to arrive in full force for the Major.

At the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 RMR, he notched a 1.11 rating, and then went on to get a MVP level performance at the Major with his 1.19 rating ensuring his first Major trophy. He went off the rails for a couple events, managing only a 1.00 rating at ESL Pro League Season 19 and a 0.84 at IEM Dallas 2024.

But then came the golden period for NAVI and jL, with a series of Grand Final appearances. A 1.19 rating at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, 1.14 at EWC 2024, 1.13 at IEM Cologne 2024, 1.28 at ESL Pro League Season 20, 1.15 at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, and a 1.16 at IEM Rio 2024 got jL 4 EVPs and an MVP.

While the second CS2 Major would be a memory jL would like to forget, it doesn't overshadow the success he's achieved throughout the year. jL takes up the 5th spot, leaving only the top 4 to be announced.
