FACEIT to remove Vertigo next week

Train is already a part of FACEIT's map pool

Following Valve's announcement about an upcoming active duty map pool change where Vertigo leaves the pool and Train takes it's place, many high profile tournament operators such as ESL, BLAST and PGL also announced the switch to align with Valve's new map pool. Valve's initial announcement said that Train would replace Vertigo at the Austin Major.

Train was already added to FACEIT's map pool a while back and it was only a matter of time before Vertigo stepped back. Through a post on X, FACEIT have announced that starting Monday, 13th January 2025, Vertigo will no longer be a part of the FACEIT map pool.

The change was foreshadowed when an overhauled Train made it's way into Counter-Strike a little over a month ago and Valve have been hard at work ever since, fine-tuning, polishing and fixing up bugs to make the map viable for competitive play at high levels.
