IEM Melbourne 2025 teams announced

Through a post on X, ESL have announced the confirmed list of teams that will be a part of IEM Melbourne 2025. IEM Melbourne 2025 will take place between 21st and 27th April 2025, featuring sixteen teams who've all received invites based on their VRS positions.

Sitting at #1 and #2 in the Asian VRS, The MongolZ and FlyQuest have secured invites to IEM Melbourne 2025 and will serve as the APAC region's representatives at the event.

In their blogpost, ESL have mentioned that G2, Astralis and FURIA have declined their invites for the event, making way for paIN, MIBR and BIG who sit at #16, #17 and #18 in the VRS. Here are all the teams taking part in IEM Melbourne 2025:

IEM Melbourne 2025 will start with a double-elimination GSL format across two groups of eight. Top three teams from each group makes it to the single-elimination bracket playoffs with group winners starting in the semi-finals. All games up until the bo5 grand-final will run a bo3 setting. The event carries a $300,000 USD prize pool.
