Chinggis Warriors avoids The QUBE upset
Chinggis Warriors held on against compatriots The QUBE in the final upper bracket quarter-final at the MESA Asian Masters 2025 Asia Closed Qualifier.
The QUBE's pick of Mirage saw Kamui and lacr1m0sa stun Chinggis Warriors as The QUBE picked up a dominating 13-5 win to start the BO3 encounter. Chinggis Warriors almost dropped a 9-3 lead on Ancient as The QUBE nearly pulled it to overtime with Efire and controlez helping Chinggis Warriors hold on for 13-10 win to tie up the series.
The decider on Train saw Chinggis Warriors start with a strong four round lead on their defensive half and although The QUBE tied things up following their second half pistol win, it was NEUZ and Efire powering Chinggis Warriors to a 13-8 win to take the series 2-1.
Chinggis Warriors will now take on The Huns in the upper bracket semi-final tomorrow while The QUBE will have to fight for their place in the Closed Qualifier against Eruption in the lower bracket.
