FURIA dismantled by MOUZ
There seems to be no relief for FURIA as things just keep getting from bad to worse. After a poor showing at the final CS:GO Major in Paris, FURIA have been eliminated from IEM Dallas 2023 after going down 0-2 to MOUZ. While they seemed to be competitive on MOUZ's pick of Inferno, they just did not turn up on their own map pick of Vertigo and a lacklustre showing from arT's men sees them leave Dallas early.
For MOUZ though, it is a welcome return to form after their own struggles in Paris, as dexter and his men look to end CS:GO on a high.
The action started on MOUZ's pick of Inferno with the Brazilians starting on the CT side. JDC got things underway with a quad kill on the pistol to give MOUZ the first round of the map. Clean wins against the force buy and eco saw MOUZ go 3-0 up before FURIA got the guns out. MOUZ went 6-0 up as they converted a 2v4 with frozen coming in with a crucial triple. FURIA put up their first CT round on an upgraded pistol buy on the B site with KSCERATO and drop providing crucial double kills. FURIA converted eight rounds in a row, to take the lead of the half at 8-6 with KSCERATO wiping out MOUZ with a quad kill in round 14. FURIA ended the half with a 8-7 lead.

MOUZ retook the lead of the game after converting the eco but it was FURIA back on the board once the guns came out. MOUZ responded with five of their own to secure 14 and dexter's triple in round 25 saw MOUZ secure map point. MOUZ closed the map at 16-10 with JDC and xertioN on top of the scoreboard with 21 and 20 kills.
The second map of the series was FURIA's pick of Vertigo with the Brazilians on the T side and it was MOUZ who picked up the pistol and took a substantial lead early on, going 4-0 up before FURIA put their first T round. FURIA's second round came in round 9, saw they converted a mixed buy. dexter's 1v1 against KSCERATO saw MOUZ win out the half and they ended the half with a 11-4 lead on the back of a torzsi triple in the final round of the first half.
A team ace from MOUZ kicked off the second half as they picked up both pistols on the map. After converting against the eco, MOUZ picked up the first gun round of the second half to get to 14. MOUZ closed the map at 16-4 and secured the series 2-0.
It was dexter leading from the front on Vertigo, topping the charts with 21 kills and a 1.62 rating.
