Ongeh Warrior win EFLARE CS2 tournament

Ongeh Warrior took down MungYu 3-1 in the grand-finals

After a week-long double elimination bracket playoffs, Ongeh Warrior and MungYu were set to take stage to battle it out in a Bo5 setting in the grand-finals. The event ran an open qualifier from 10th November 2023 to 12th November 2023, from which eight teams made it to the playoffs of the main event, alongside eight other invited teams.

The teams that fought in the double-elimination bracket for a shot at the grand-finals were:

Ongeh Warrior had previously faced off against MungYu in the upper-bracket semi-finals, where MungYu knocked Ongeh Warrior down to the lower bracket, from where Ongeh Warrior still managed to make it to the grand-finals.

The Bo5 grand-finals started on Anubis with MungYu managing to hold on by the skin of their teeth, to take the map 13-11 and go 1-0 up in the series. Ongeh Warrior came back to level the series right away, closing out Nuke 13-7.

Ongeh Warrior then went on to flip the narrative, winning out Ancient and Overpass 13-5, to win the grand-finals.

1st place - Ongeh Warrior ($50,000 USD)

2nd place - MungYu ($25,000 USD)

3rd place - Dreamscape ($15,000 USD)

4th place - Darkside ($10,000 USD)
