Several Counter-Strike professionals in the Indian scene have shared their thoughts with Dust2 India about Skyesports' 2024 CS2 roadmap.
"Me and my team were eagerly waiting for the Skyesports CS2 roadmap and when it was announced it surprised us because the number of international events and that too with huge prize-pools, which is great for the Indian scene. The roadmap looks very promising and it would help the CS2 scene to grow and hopefully more teams and orgs will join the journey. Me and my team are ready for the upcoming season and will work hard to win some trophies next year."

"It seems that the CS scene in India is not very active or popular compared to other regions or games because of the lack of eco-system, infrastructure and support for CS players in India. Moreover, India might not have enough professional teams, coaches, analysts, or streamers to inspire upcoming talents but I think that the CS scene in India has some potential and hope for the future because of recent initiatives taken by NODWIN & Skyesports. I'm very happy and shocked simultaneously seeing those official statements/posts by them. This is a huge step by them to build the eco-system which will hopefully lead to the rise of CS in India from the ashes."

"The roadmap is really great, I believe because it includes foreign teams also which helps India to compete at an International level. This project will definitely put India on the map, which is really amazing. its definitely going be to an impactful year for Indian CS, because CS in India has never really touched international levels due to Lack of qualifiers, organizations and teams. I'm pretty sure our scene is booming and everyone are starting to believe in Indian CS. Personally, it is a motivation for me to continue playing CS. This opportunity excites everyone in India right now, so I hope everything goes according to plan and Indian teams/players get recognition like other regions."

"After a 3 year draught of high level competitions I think India and its players are finally on the right track to up their game and gain much needed exposure in the form of many teams/players from abroad that will participate in the upcoming tournaments announced by Skyesports. Personally for me and my team it is a great feeling which will obviously drive us to our limits, keep challenging us and we are ready for anything our opponents throw at us."

"I believe 2024 will be the most astonishing year yet in the history of Indian CS. With big money and opportunities pouring in, I believe we can finally train and nurture world class CS pros by creating immense competition through tournaments like the ones Sky is hosting. To my team, it is the most exciting opportunity we could have asked for, some of us were not sure if we wanted to keep going the next year but now we have no doubts. We will compete and be the victors of these major sky events next year."
