Media: Skyesports planning to host community tournaments
In a recent post on his X handle, Skyesports' founder and CEO Shiva Nandy has announced that Skyesports is planning to host more events for the Indian region.
The announcement reads that Skyesports is planning to host 'community online tournaments in India to strengthen the Counter-Strike ecosystem in India.' Further details are awaited.
Skyesports already released a $1 million prize pool road map for CS2 in 2024 with the upcoming Skyesports Masters 2024 set to be an online $350,000 tournament with the likes of ENCE, BIG, NIP, Aurora, BetBoom, FORZE and OG taking part with one Indian team, who will make it through the ongoing Skyesports Masters 2024 India Closed Qualifier.
Skyesports has already hosted their maiden CS2 event - the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 which Aurora won, with the $50,000 LAN taking place in Pune, earlier in March 2024. Skyesports' Counter-Strike calendar also has the Skyesports Championship 6.0 scheduled for July 2024, the Skyesports Souvenir scheduled for September 2024, the Skyesports Global Tour set to take place in October 2024 and the Skyesports India vs Pakistan series scheduled for December 2024.
