FlyQuest eliminated by Liquid

Australian team's journey comes to an end

A new captain and a new organisation gave the former Grayhound boys a new lease of life and FlyQuest, who impressed in the Group Stages, continued their ESL Pro League Season 19 Playoffs run after taking down BetBoom, against Liquid in the Round 2 game.

Mirage started with Liquid picking up the CT pistol to get things underway but it was sloppy from both sides as neither team could manage to get their halves going. Liquid managed to secure a 7-5 lead at the half break and ran away to an 11-6 lead before dexter powered FlyQuest's comeback. Liquid were pushed all the way but cadiaN and his boys managed to hang on for a 13-10 win to get the series started.

Liquid started their pick of Anubis once again with a two-round lead, on the defensive side before FlyQuest once again threatened a comeback on their CT side. It was a skullz double opener on the A site that got Liquid to map and match point but FlyQuest hold on against four map points to take the map to overtime. The Australians weren't going down in two as they fought back in overtime to secure a 16-14 win to take the series to a third map.

Liquid started Ancient with a flawless pistol win on the defensive side and went 6-0 up before FlyQuest finally found a T-round. Liquid started with a 9-3 lead. INS and aliStair helped the Australians turn around a 2v5 in the second pistol on the B site but Liquid answered back with the force buy as YEKINDAR with the Galil came in with a quad kill. Clutches from INS and aliStair kept FlyQuest in the game and Liquid with a couple of questionable half-buys let FlyQuest back in the game. Liquid eventually hung on for 13-10 win to close out the a messy series.

While its the end of the road for the Australians, Liquid will now take on Astralis in the quarter-final, as we get to see one of Counter-Strike's greatest rivalries take place once again.
