Perfect World announce RMR invitees

Perfect World took to X to announce the invitee list for the upcoming RMRs leading up to the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major. With the post, they have confirmed that the latest Valve Regional Standings update will hold as the decisive one. Open qualifiers will run only in Asia from 21st August 2024, following which the closed qualifiers commence on 27th August 2024.

In a conversation with HLTV, Perfect World have clarified that the published list is not final, but the list of teams the organizer intends on sending out invites. The final list of teams will be decided when teams accept the invite and provide valid roster details.

In the Asian circuit, The MongolZ, Lynn Vision and FlyQuest will secure direct RMR invites. Indian teams, Gods Reign and True Rippers will receive closed qualifier invites and will compete from the Rest of Asia sub-region.

The Asian side of things sees a jampacked RMR circuit with seven open qualifiers and five closed qualifiers running in August with Asian RMR slots on the line. From the Asia RMR, top three teams will secure a Major appearance. The Asian circuit concludes with the Asia-Pacific RMR, set to take place in the first week of second week of November 2024.

Once the RMRs run their course, the Perfect World CS2 Shanghai Major 2024 will kick off on 30th November 2024 with the opening stage and will run for over two weeks with the grand-final taking place on 15th December 2024.
