Gods Reign's woeful ECL campaign continues
With Playoff chances looking bleak, Gods Reign took on IHC in their latest round of ESL Challenger League Season 48 Asia games but the Indian team suffered two big losses, which drops them to the lower half of the table.
Gods Reign started on the T-side of Inferno in the opening BO1 with a pistol round win and an anti-eco conversion. IHC won the first buy round, shattering Gods Reign's economy but nevertheless the Indian team managed to salvage 7-5 half as Ph1NNN and R2B2 stood tall, scoring crucial entries to secures sites for their team.
kyojin and zesta went ballistic on IHC's T-side, stringing up 5-rounds propelling IHC to a 10-7 lead, straight out the gate. Gods Reign's CT-defense just couldn't find an answer to the problem at hand and XUOR looked razor sharp, punishing each and every over-rotation from the Indian side. The trio of kyojin, zesta and ariucleee finished on 18 frags a piece as IHC closed out Inferno 13-7.
The second BO1 took the teams to Anubis as IHC started with another big lead at 8-4. With only three Gods Reign players managing to reach double digit kills, IHC secured both BO1s, with identical scores of 13-7, locking in a comfortable win on Anubis.
Following the latest round of games, Gods Reign lie at the bottom of the ESL Challenger League Season 48 Asia, in 15th spot out of 16 teams, with 4 wins and 9 losses.
