Minor CS2 update comes with new content

New music kits added to the game

In a recent update, Valve shipped out minor adjustments and fixes addressing issues pertaining to audio and performance. An bug that caused the game to freeze and crash a few seconds after hopping into a game server has been fixed.

The update also brings new music kits to Counter-Strike 2. The masterminds music kit box has been renewed for a second iteration with eight new music kits. The music kit box can be purchased from the in-game store in the home screen in normal or StatTrak variants.

The new update comes just a day after Valve announced their stance on scripting and automation at a hardware level (SnapTap, etc) and revealed that VacNet 3.0 would roll out in an initial testing phase, monitoring a limited number of games. Here are Valve's release notes for today's update:

MUSIC KITS

  • The Masterminds 2 Music Kit Box is now available for purchase in standard and StatTrak versions

AUDIO

  • Fixed a case where audio output was garbled due to running on efficiency CPU cores

HUD

  • Minor style adjustments

MISC

  • Reduced the amount of performance stutter at end-of-round time
