VICTORES SUMUS wins GG LEAGUE Pro Series Qualifier 2
By making it to round 4 of the GG LEAGUE Pro Series Qualifier 2, the only Indian team in the qualifier, VICTORES SUMUS had already locked in their place in the Playoffs and were taking on Pakistani squad st4rboys in the seeding BO3 game.
The series started on st4rboys' pick of Ancient which saw a dominant opening half from the Indian team, locking in 10 rounds. The Pakistani squad showed signs of a comeback but it was quickly shut out as VICTORES SUMUS picked up a 13-8 win with arakyN on top of the scoreboard with 24 kills.
On their own pick of Nuke, it was VICTORES SUMUS start with the lead once again, taking a four-round lead before a near-flawless second half saw them lock in a big 13-5 win with arakyN on top of the scoreboard once again with 22 kills.
The win sees VICTORES SUMUS head into the Playoffs as the Qualifier 2 winner and take home a cash prize of $500. Gods Reign has also booked their place in the Playoffs, winning the Qualifier 1. By making it to round 5 of the qualifier, st4rboys had also locked in their place in the Playoffs and took home a cash prize of $250 for finishing second in the qualifier.
