Community reacts to The MongolZ making the Major Playoffs
With The MongolZ making history by qualifying for the playoffs at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, we went around asking experts and Indian professional players about their success and the significance it holds for the Asian scene. First to comment were Bleh and Elfishguy.
The MongolZ's success is an inspiration and an example for every player and team in Asia to look up to and replicate. Making Major playoffs while coming from a region of barely any resources and almost no CS legacy is an incredible story. No more excuses from the rest.

The MongolZ making top 8 at the Major is another massive step forward for the region. My hope is that this will continue to motivate the current and future players of the region to strive for the success that now feels very possible and no longer a pipe dream.

The Indian esports community united to express their support and extend best wishes to The MongolZ as they head into the Playoffs.
It does feel good to see them proving internationally against such good teams and especially bLitz and maRaa played a very important role in it. It doesn't impact much on the Indian scene it totally depends on us what we take from them. All I can say is if they can do it all against the odds we too can with proper dedication towards the game. I wish them all the luck for the Playoffs.

Their achievement is not just a source of inspiration for teams from Mongolia but also for regions like India, where the esports scene is still growing. The MongolZ have proven that it’s possible to break through even when coming from an isolated or less-established region. Success doesn't depend on where you're from, but on the work you put in, the mindset you adopt, and the dedication to constantly improve. Hopefully, teams from India will take this lesson to heart, and we’ll start seeing more teams rise up and make their mark on the global stage. Keep pushing for more, and who knows? Maybe the next major success story could come from India! I wish all the luck to The MongolZ in the elimination stage. Their journey so far has been incredible, and it would be amazing to see them continue that momentum all the way to victory.

I feel what they’ve done is literally a historical fact, I’m really happy with their performance. They have proven that the other asian teams also can play and evolve with the minimal amount of support we get and show some good results like The Mongolz in the future. For me it has become like motivation, by watching them play against such high level teams. I hope Indians take this as a motivation and work more harder for achieving the same level goals as The Mongolz.
