OG book Brazy Party semi-final spot
OG sent SAW home from the Brazy Party 2023 tournament, as niko and co. managed to take down the Portuguese team 2-0 in the quarter-finals. OG had strong starts in both maps and looked like would white-wash SAW but SAW managed to put up a valiant effort to go down fighting.
The second quarter-final of the day saw SAW take on OG as both teams looked to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Brazy Party 2023. The series started on SAW's pick of Anubis. It was OG on the CT side who took the first pistol of the series. It was a lights-out half from OG, as SAW took 13 rounds to register their first T sided round. The half eventually ended in favour of OG at 12-3. The Portuguese took the second pistol, to get the score to 12-4 SAW put together six rounds on the defence before OG managed to get their first T sided round. It was OG's igl niko who stepped up to give his team map point and OG eventually managed to take the opening map 16-9, putting a stop to any further possibilities of a comeback from SAW. niko and degster ended on the top of the scoreboard for OG in the opening map with 22 and 20 kills respectively.
The second map was OG's pick of Ancient with SAW starting on the T side. OG won the pistol but SAW got the force buy early on to bounce back. OG put up a strong T half, with niko and degster coming in with some crucial clutches and multi-kills to help them end the half 11-4. OG picked up the pistol in the second half but SAW bounced back once again with the force buy, just like the first half. Both teams traded rounds in the second half as SAW hit double digits to take the score at 10-14. OG eventually did manage to hold on to close the map 16-13. degster ended the series with a 1.30 rating while flameZ had a strong showing as well with a 1.22 rating
