Standings at the end of Day 2 at Skyesports Championship 2024

The MongolZ, Eternal Fire on top

After a day to forget on the opening day, normal service resumed on Day 2 of the Skyesports Championship 2024 with 9 BO1s taking place.

With the opening day's games rescheduled to the second day with the tournament scheduled being tweaked. The second day saw 9 BO1s take place and here's a quick look at how the standings in the two groups are.

Group A - The MongolZ on top, True Rippers come close again

Group A's game between Aurora and PARIVISION kicked off the day with the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 and Skyesports Masters 2024 champions, Aurora taking a big win. ENCE ran through BLEED in their opening game as nexa's LAN debut with his new team was one to forget.

PARIVISION was back in the server after their Russian derby earlier in the day and the Russian team stunned The MongolZ in the biggest upset of the day. India team True Rippers were looking set for a big upset against BLEED but hampus and co. managed to hang on and deny the Indian team a win. The final game of the day was the Group A game between ENCE and The MongolZ which saw the Asian team hammer gla1ve and co.

The standings in Group A sees The MongolZ on top with two wins from three games. Aurora are second with one win from their only game while ENCE, PARIVISION and BLEED all sit behind them with a 1W - 1L record from two games, which leaves the group wide open. True Rippers sit right at the bottom with two losses from two games.

Group B - Eternal Fire unstoppable, Revenant struggling

Group B kicked off with Revenant and Eternal Fire finally finishing their BO1 which started on the opening day but was paused due to electricity and internet issues. Eternal Fire made light work of NBK- and co. while 3DMAX and AMKAL played out the first overtime of the tournament which went in favour of the French team.

Eternal Fire ran through DMS in their second game of the day while the final Group B game saw AMKAL hand Revenant their second big loss of the event.

The Group B standings at the end of Day 2 has Eternal Fire on top with two wins from as many games with 3DMAX in second place with one win from one game while AMKAL are with a 1W - 1L record. DMS and Revenant are yet to open their account. BetBoom's withdrawal meant that Group B has only five teams instead of the initial six.

The top three teams from each group will move to the Playoffs, which kicks off from July 28, 2024 and will be held at a stage area at the venue, Taj Lands End. You can find the Group standings here.
