Hapless Gods Reign go down to Alter Ego
After a clean opening day at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Asia RMR Closed Qualifier, which saw Gods Reign march into the upper bracket grand final after taking down ONi and Forward Gamingg, the Indian team faced BnTeT's Alter Ego in the UB Final as they were looking to not only cause a big upset but also put themselves in the Grand Finals.
It was a complete mismatch as Alter Ego dominated Gods Reign to get their T side underway. Attacks on either site with ease, turning around man disadvantages and winning fights with HP disadvantage, Alter Ego were all over Gods Reign as went 10-0 up before a f1redup triple got Gods Reign on the board.
Alter Ego wasted little to no time in closing out Anubis at 13-1 to book themselves a spot in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier Grand Final. It was a sorry state of affairs on the scoreboard for Gods Reign, with no one from the Indian team managing to reach double digits while their stand-in Mcg!LLzZz finishing the match with zero kills.
Gods Reign now have dropped to the Consolidation final and will take on the winner of the True Rippers - ONi game.
