Victores Sumus send Big W home to keep Souvenir hopes alive
Victores Sumus eliminated Crazy_Gamer and SpawN's Big W from the Skyesports Souvenir National Championship 2025, picking up a crucial win in the lower bracket final to keep themselves alive in the tournament. It was Benzene stepping up for Victores Sumus as they cleaned up Big W in straight maps.
Big W's force buy retake saw them take a small early lead on Anubis but it was a clutches from Benzene and an arakyN triple opener on the B site which saw VICTORES SUMUS take lead of the opening half at 7-5. hattygOD's double opener on the pistol on the B site saw Big W go on to tie up the game but RaYzEr and Benzene made sure it was VICTORES SUMUS putting up a solid defensive hold as they closed Anubis at 13-10 with Benzene leading the charge for VICTORE SUMUS with 31 kills.
Benzene was once again bringing the impact and it was arakyN with him this time as Victores Sumus turned around a 2-5 deficit on their pick of Nuke to end the opening half with six T rounds. SpawN and Crazy_Gamer's doubles saw Big W lock in the second pistol to take the lead of the map before Benzene, RaYzEr and ChAmP shut down a quick A hit to get Victores Sumus on the board.
The Benzene and arakyN show put Victores Sumus on double digits but it was a crucial Crazy_Gamer 1v1 against RaYzEr which tied up a back-and-forth half at 10-10. Recoilmaster's AWP opened and closed the 21st round which saw Victores Sumus retake the lead before the score was tied again as Big W hit back with a mixed buy A spilt. It looked like Victores Sumus had a win locked in, in regulation but N1kace's double opener outside saw Big W push Nuke to overtime.
RaYzEr with the AWP ace saw Victores Sumus turn around a 3v5 to take the lead on their CT half before they closed it out at 16-12 to take the series 2-0. The loss spells the end of the road for Big W at Skyesports Souvenir National Championship 2025 while Victores Sumus will now take on Flshbck Gaming in the Consolidation Final to finalise a the second Grand Finalist.
